CPMEC is responsible for facilitating the annual Australian and New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum.  This annual event commenced in the late 1990s and brings together clinicians, medical educators and junior doctors to share research, educational activities and to discuss current issues in prevocational medical education.

A core component of this Forum is the involvement of junior doctors in the program and the facilitation of special interest group meetings including Medical Education Officers, Directors of Clinical Training and Junior Medical Officers.

29th ANZPME Forum – 2025 – Sydney

The 29th Australian & New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum will be held in Sydney on 9-12 November 2025 at Hilton, Sydney. The theme for the 2025 Prevocational Forum is Navigating Transitions: Feedforward and Feedback.

28th ANZPME Forum – 2024 – Darwin

The 2024 ANZ Prevocational Medical Education Forum was held in Darwin on 11-14 November 2024 at Darwin Convention Centre. The theme for the 2024 Prevocational Forum was Rising to the Challenge:  Sustainability, Community and Culture encompassing the changes of the national framework with the new standards including cultural safety and community needs.
