Aim

Since 2010 this Award has been presented annually to clinical educators across Australia and New Zealand in recognition to those who have made a major contribution to the education and training of junior doctors in the years PGY1 and PGY2.

The recipient of this Award will be a clinical educator who fulfils the principal criteria which can be demonstrated by at least two additional criteria as listed below:

Principal Criteria

Made a significant contribution to the teaching of junior doctors in the years PGY1 and PGY2.

Additional Criteria

  • Demonstrated evidence of developing innovative programs and approaches for the education of junior doctors;
  • Made a significant contribution to mentoring and the provision of career advice to junior doctors;
  • Advocated for junior doctor education and training in the workplace and beyond, which could include contributions to a Postgraduate Medical Council or any organisation involved in the education and training of junior doctors;
  • Made a significant contribution to promoting the well-being of junior doctors;
  • Demonstrated evidence of improving education and training opportunities in rural and remote locations as per Modified Monash Model 2-7 categories.
